Terry hopes to avoid another slip up
Most of us can remember that time at school when, whilst playing in the really big game of ‘British bulldogs’ some kid fell over and scratched their hands and elbows to the howls of laughter from surrounding children – in such situations they just wanted to hide away on their own until they had the courage to play again. Well poor old John Terry must be feeling much the same, but just ten days after slipping over at the most important moment in his career and probably grazing a knee, he finds himself unable to hide but rather having to be first out at Wembley on Wednesday night. He probably didn’t even get to see the school nurse. Poor thing, though he’ll be feeling worse if the American’s continue their recent good vein of form.
