Ten reasons Federer will win his sixth Wimbledon title
1. In the Grand Slam era, six men have lost back-to-back Wimbledon finals but never before have they gone on to win in the third year.
2. Federer has won 65 straight games on grass and his last loss on surface was over six years ago.
3. The world number one has a perfect record in grass court tournament finals - winning ten out of ten.
4. Federer hasn't dropped a set in all six Wimbledon games this year. He also did this in 2006 before beating Nadal 3-1 in the final.
5. Even more impressively, Federer won all his matches in Halle this year in straight sets - meaning he has won 11 straight grass court games in straight sets.
6. Winning both the French Open and Wimbledon is notoriously difficult. The only man to ever manage it is Bjorn Borg - 1978, 1979, 1980.
7. In 2006, Nadal won every won of the first six rounds bar the second in straight sets but that didn't stop him from losing the final to Federer in four.
8. The last time Serena Williams met Venus in the women's final (2003), Federer won the men's final.
9. Only three times in the last 22 years has the winner at Queen's gone on to win Wimbledon: Sampras (1995 and 1999) and Hewitt (2002).
10. In the same period three Queen's winners have gone on to lose the Wimbledon final: Becker (1988) and Roddick (2004 and 2005).

» chickendinner superfact: If Federer wins in straight sets, he will become the second man in Grand Slam era history to win Wimbledon without dropping a set. The last was Bjorn Borg way back in 1976.
» Not since 1979-1980 have there been back-to-back five set Wimbledon finals.
» In the last ten years there has been a fairly even spread of four three-set finals, three four-set and three five-set.
» The last two five-set Wimbledon finals have been followed up by straight set finals (1998 and 2001).
