Joe Kinnear becomes clear favourite for the Newcastle job

Interim boss casts Keegan even further into the shade

It took Kevin Keegan eleven games to deliver consecutive wins in his second spell as Newcastle manager but Joe Kinnear has already achieved the feat just five games into his tenure as interim boss.

As well as lowering Kinnear’s loss percentage to 20% compared to Keegan’s 43%, last night’s victory over Aston Villa has seen Kinnear emerge as the clear 9/4 favourite with SkyBet to become the club’s full-time boss, with King Kev lagging behind at 4/1.
