Why Chelsea need to start winning at Stamford Bridge

Teams that start the season poorly at home rarely win the league

Chelsea may be occupying the top spot but they have only won three of their seven Premier League games at Stamford Bridge under Luiz Felpe Scolari. On only one other occasion in the last eleven years have Chelsea failed to win over half of their first seven home games and that was in 2001-02, when the Blues finished sixth. It was in that season that Arsenal became the only team in the history of the 20-team Premier League to lift the title after winning under half of their first seven home league games.
