Andy Murray v Stanislas Wawrinka
» Murray has a 4-3 head-to-head record against Wawrinka and has won four of their last five clashes. They have never met on grass.
» The world number three has won all three of the duo’s meetings at the round of 16. Wawrinka has exited five of his last eight tournaments at that stage, with four of those losses coming against players ranked in the top five.
» The Swiss 24-year-old hasn’t reached the last eight of a Grand Slam in 17 career attempts, whereas Murray has done so in three of his last four.

Robin Soderling v Roger Federer
» Soderling and Federer have met ten times and the world number two has triumphed on every occasion - including in the French Open Final and at Wimbledon last year.
» The Swede has only ever taken one set off Federer and that came on grass at Halle four years ago.
» Federer’s loss to Rafael Nadal in last year’s final was his only defeat in 69 games on grass.

Dinara Safina v Amelie Mauresmo
» Surprisingly, Mauresmo has the advantage when it comes to head-to-head record, having won four of her six previous matches against Safina.
» This is the furthest the Russian has ever got at Wimbledon but 2006 champion Mauresmo hasn’t reached the quarter-finals of a Grand Slam since the US Open that year.
» Safina is the top seed and in the last seven years, six have reached at least the semi-finals, with five reaching the final and two winning.

Venus Williams v Ana Ivanovic
» Venus has a 5-1 record against Ivanovic and beat her in straight sets at SW19 in 2007. She has also won their two previous round of 16 meetings.
» Ivanovic entered last year’s Wimbledon as top seed but has been poor since, winning just one trophy - in Linz last October - and making the final four of just one tournament in 2009.
» Williams has reached the quarter-finals in nine of the last eleven years .
