Two months into the season, Charlton and Bristol Rovers were having a whale of a time. The Addicks were second and comfortably clear of expected promotion rivals like Norwich and Millwall, while the Pirates were third, a point off behind and already boasting a seven-point margin over seventh.
Skip forward to mid-February and you can see that it didn’t take long for that early season optimism to fade away. Charlton are third and five points behind
