Where Manchester United are most likely to drop six points

chickendinner provide the straws for Liverpool fans to clutch

Paddy Power think the title race is over and offer just 1/14 on Manchester United winning for the third straight season. To stop them, Liverpool must win all their remaining games and hope that the Red Devils drop six points. It’s all very unlikely but rather than accepting a premature end to an exciting campaign, we decided to look at where the holders are most likely to slip up:

Tottenham (h)
Spurs are unbeaten in six league meetings with the Big Four sides and have lost just one away game against a top-half side. Harry Redknapp’s side have lost one of their last nine and he has won there with West Ham and Portsmouth. Spurs haven’t won an away league match against a Big Four side since August 1993 - when they beat Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield.
Verdict: United could drop two points here but three is unlikely.

Spurs need to avoid another late collapse away to Hull

Hull/Tottenham, 8pm, Setanta Sports 1, Free Bets, Best Odds

Tonight sees a team that can’t win away from home travel to one who can’t find three points anywhere. Here’s everything that you need to know:

SPURS DON’T WIN AWAY…
Tottenham have lost seven consecutive away games in all competitions and have won just two league games on the road all season. They have only kept one domestic clean sheet away from White Hart Lane all season and their last four Premier League conquerors haven’t exactly been world beaters: Newcastle, West Brom, Wigan and Bolton.

…BUT HULL DON’T WIN ANYWHERE
Since winning six of their first nine Premier League games, Hull have won just one of sixteen. They are on a run of nine games without a win but drew away to Chelsea in their last outing. The Tigers have the worst home record in the division having won just three of their twelve league games at the KC Stadium, only one of which has come in their last eight.

HULL ARE YET TO DO THE DOUBLE

Why lightning is unlikely to strike twice for 5/1 Hull

Hull/Arsenal, Sat 5.30pm, Setanta Sports 1, Free Bets, Best Odds

Arsenal have won just one of their last seven away games and as a result the 5/1 offered by 888sport and Paddy Power on Hull, who have already won at the Emirates this season, completing the double, appears generous. However, there are plenty of reasons to believe that Saturday could see Arsenal win their first domestic game outside of London since September:

Why Hull are unlikely to get a result against Arsenal this time

» Arsenal have won three successive games for the first time since October and are unbeaten in seven Premier League games.

» The Gunners have won their opening away match in six of the last seven calendar years.

» Hull are on a run of four straight Premier League defeats and have won just one of their last twelve in the division, against a Middlesbrough side undergoing a nine match winless streak.
