Duffy should be among the big winners at the BRIT Awards
Sadly there’s only one market that you can still bet on
The bookies stopped taking bets on the Brits earlier this week after growing suspicious of the amount staked on Paul Weller winner British Male Solo Artist. The one market left open is the Best British Single on William Hill, where you can still back Duffy’s Mercy at 7/4.
The favourite is Girls Alouds’ The Promise at 11/8 while Coldplay’s Viva La Vida is 7/2. chickendinner believes Duffy and Coldplay both stand more chance than Girls Aloud and that the main reason they are favourites is that their song is the most recent of the nominees and therefore fresher in people’s memories.
