Successful Euro 2008 for Chickendinner

Not that we like to gloat... While we failed to predict the shock successes of Russia and Turkey, our extensive Euro 2008 coverage produced plenty of winners.

At the start of the tournament we predicted a Germany/Spain final, identified David Villa as Spain’s most likely top scorer when Fernando Torres was tournament joint-favourite, predicted Austria wouldn’t be the worst team in European Championship history and forecasted Croatia’s quarter-final demise.

We then identified the winners of the two semis and the final, called Torres as the most likely goalscorer and anticipated under 2.5 goals to round off a successful tournament.

The new football season doesn’t kick off for over a month but stay tuned to our Wimbledon coverage over on the homepage.
